Mega Beach Fish Product Pvt Ltd.

We are running a factory for the production of high quality packaged dry fish and Umbalakada with the aim of uplifting the economy of the rural in Sri Lanka under the Agriculture Sector Modernisation Project as per the guidance of the World Bank.
For the first time in Sri Lanka, we produce high quality dried fish and Umbalakada under the MBF brand in accordance with SLS and ISO standards using only fresh fish harvest, in a closed-house factory, using modern de-hydrate technology, using nitrogen and vacuum packing method.

We started our business with the production of Umbalakada at No 75 Mahawela road Pahajjawa Nakulugamuwa on 17th December 2018 and now we are exporting more than 20 items not only to Sri Lankan supermarket chains but also to foreign markets including Australia, England and South Africa.

In the future we intend to expand our market more widely in Sri Lanka and also intend to open several stores under our MBF brand in nearby cities. Apart from this, we are expecting to export to Europe and New Zealand soon and obtaining the product certificates for this is being done in these days. Apart from our current core products of umbalakada and dry-fish, we are looking forward to venturing into new items like Down-south Taste Fish Abulthial and dehydrated lime and jackfruit in the near future.
